Fluidity Freerun Streetfighter at Boomtwn 201
Fluidity Freerun as Streetfighter at Boomtown Fair 2015! We took to the streets of Chinatown this year , in search of retro nostalgia and too kick ass Capcom style! Had an absolute blast during the nights with our fights, and on Saturday we jammed with the Dubtendo with a wicked crowd :) Big love to Ed Hack, Greg Nagy and Tom Foot for coming and helping out (especially Tom , who was stamped on by a confused punter) for coming and helping out! This vid was thrown together by Ed (www.youtube.com/hackedparkour) Keep posted for some official footage from Boomtown and maybe another edit, as well as some official and unofficial photos!Posted by Fluidity Freerun on Tuesday, 25 August 2015
So once again we were back to work at the immense pop up city of BOOMTOWN.
As always ,the festival had un-rivalled line ups, activities and fun around every corner, from the big stages to the hundreds of micro venues, the music and arts on show are insane!
This year, instead of our usual gigs for the might Bassline Circus and the workshops up in Kidztown, we were to be performing in Chinatown , the heart of punk and ska at the festival.
Donned as your favourite Namco superstar “Streetfighters” , the 8 of us took to the courtyard, providing an array of fights with each other and the public! Incredible fun, and went down an absolute treat, can’t wait to get involved again next year and take it further!
Check out this awesome video by Ed Hack who came down and joined us , he really captured the performances!
We were once more invited back to work at the mighty pop up city Boomtown!
With a seven man strong team, we were to be once more jamming out and providing workshops up in the Kidz area of Town!
A lovely tranquil part of the festival where kids and adults alike are invited to take part in games, workshops and other splendour!
We created a big scaffolding rig with lots of other fun obstacles, and after a serious jam on it invited all of the kids and parents to join in!
The official video for 2014 is above, and check some of our images below!
Fluidity finally got a huge chance to be a part of the maddest, most happening festival in the UK, and most likely the world.
Boomtown is one of the most infamous arts and music festivals.. There really is no describing it, so check out this video of the fest below.
We were based up in Kidztown at the festival, which is a chill area full of fun activities, shows and delights for the kids and their parents. A nice break away from the rest of the festival, we built a huge scaffolding rig with other structures and jammed on it each day. After the jams we were letting the kids and even the adults give it a good go with some hour long workshops!
On top of that, we were once more involved with mighty Bassline Circus, doing a short performance on stage each night in the largest dance tent of the fest. With a stage built like a party slum, full projection art and a couple of thousand people watching, this is easily one of our favourite performances we have ever done!
Will hopefully have footage and all that online sometime soon!
We were privileged to be involved with the most epic Fieldview Festival once more for some freerunning shenanigans!
After working there last year, we couldn’t wait to be back at our favourite small festival. With a great ethos on art, crafts and performance workshops, Fieldview really is a gem of a festival with a vibe that is hard to match!
We jammed it out for an hour each day followed by an hours worth of workshops!
Fluidity Freerun were highly privelidged to go to the mighty Fusion Festival… also known as the communist summer camp. Its a 70,000 strong festival taking place on private land , with a punk/communist ethos of looking after each other and the environment, this is without a doubt the most beautiful place we have ever been.
We were guests with the Bristol based Bassline Circus, who we have spent the summer working with at Festivals and events. Performing freerunning shows on stage in the huge big top, and then also walk about acts, amongst an array of amazing music, artists and installations.
Here is a video that we made (TwoFootTallProductions) of the time we spent at the festival!
