The Lash - Cardiff Solus

After our success at Cardiff Solus for the Drink The Bar Dry event, Fluidity were invited back to perform at the huge student event
“The Lash!”

This time we choreographed a short performance , working with the events live DJ.
With a full house and all eyes on us, it was a great success!

Boomtown Equinox Party 2013

Boomtowns Equinox party (the postponed End of the World party) is arguably going to be one of the biggest most happening parties happening in the UK this year!

Taking place in the new venue of Motion in Bristol, and sporting a seriously sick lineup, this event is certainly one you dont want to miss. Tickets are completely sold out, but they have just announced a new batch will be available on March the 1st!

But anyway, back to the point of the post – Fluidity are most lucky enough this year to be involved with Boomtown Fair and the Equinox Party! With a Chinatown theme this year, Fluidity will be lending out our ninja skilled warriors to help keep the fun enforced at the venue! So catch us running riot around the party , leaving no survivors to apathy.

Updates for BoomtownFair will be leaked soon too! Psyched!

Fluidity - An Introduction

We have finally finished our brand new team video that has been in work for quite some time!
We launched the video at a highly successful night in Cardiff’s 10FeetTall, alongside our dear friends album launch (Alex Davies, who also assisted in filming) , Ska punkers Detached and the swinging sounds of BackToBasskicks (who provided a batch of top quality Cardiff resident DJ’s!)

The video went down a treat, and we thank everyone that has been involved with its production and tolerated how long we took to get it out!

We REALLY appreciate all the views and sharing that you guys can do, and we promise to bring bigger and better things this year!

Thanks guys , means alot!

as well as creating a short promo video for the event which can be seen above.

Splott StreetGames 2011

Street Games held another one of their events (endorsed by CocaCola) in Cardiff’s very own Splott.  Taking place at the Leisure Center, there were a variety of activities including basketball, rock climbing (run by Boulders of Cardiff) as well as football skills and more.

Craig , Rhidian and Frazer were on hand to deliver some workshops and jam around. The weather wasn’t on our side, but it was a great day and paved a good start to some upcoming sessions in Splott S.T.A.R center that Frazer is running.

Manchester Science Festival - Science Junkies

Jake, Craig and Frazer traveled to Manchester to work at the Manchester Science Festival  on Friday 28th. Alongside the Science Junkies team, and seriously pro trials bike rider Andrei Burton.

We have worked with the legendary Science Junkies many times before, but this time the aim was to create a fully live version of the existing show, with a full rig, that can be toured across the UK in a variety of theatres etc.  The show was extremely well received and has alot of promise, watch this space.

Photo album and video will be up soon.

Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby - Sophia Gardens

The GBWR world champs took place in Sophia Gardens between the 5th and 8th of September, and Fluidity were invited by Sophia Gardens and Gymnation to do a half time performance for the event. This was with Frazer, Rhid and Craig who choreographed a short exciting piece between matches.

Although we didnt do all of the shows due to timing issues, it was a great experience and we made FULL use of the prestige gymnastics gym. Great stuff.

Greenman 2011

This year Fluidity were invited to Greenman 2011, to perform and provide a series of workshops. After last years amazingly good time we didn’t hesitate to take on this challenge.

With over 300 spectators in the searing sun, our performances and challenges went down a treat and we were rated very highly by “Einsteins Garden” (the part of the festival we were involved with. (@einsteinsgarden)

With over 50 energetic festival going kids each workshops, we spent hours teaching the basics of freerunning, as well as having a great time jamming.

An amazing festival, with brilliant vibes, we hope to be back next year with a full set of equipment and more good weather. Check out some of our photos we attained below.

Forest Of Dean - Friday Night Project

Craig and Frazer went to run a full workshop/taster session in Whitcross Sports Center, Forest Of Dean. This “Friday Night Project” had well over 115 young teens (and apparently this was a quiet night) , in and out of the center to take part in a number of activities.

Frazer and Craig delivered a successful 1 and a half hour session teaching the ins and outs of freerunning. Incredibly well received , and hoping to do further work in the future for this lovely community group!

Sports Accelerate - Gymnation

Through Gymnation , Fluidity were invited to coach a freerunning session in the prestigious gymnasium at Sophia Gardens for the Sports Accelerate programme. This had talented kids come from across the region to try out a number of sports over a day.

After delivering several short sessions, there was a demand for more and kids flocked back to jam in the gym with us. Check out the news edit of the event below.
